
Dr Ivy Zhou
Dr. Ivy Zhou received her Ph.D. from Macquarie University in 2018. Before pursuing her study in Australia, she completed an M.Phil. degree in real estate finance from University of Cambridge with a distinction grade on her thesis, and a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics & Business with first-class Honours from Edinburgh University. Her current research lies predominately in market microstructure, derivatives markets, cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets. Her work is published in top-tier journals including Journal of Finance, Journal of Futures Markets and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and also presented to various stock exchanges and regulatory bodies in Australia, Singapore and China. Her professional experience includes research and analysis for the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Core Logic/RP Data and McKinsey Consulting. She has secured numerous research funds from government, industry, and academic sources, focusing on understanding and mitigating risks in the digital tokens and derivatives markets. She graduated from one of Australia’s longest-established industrial HDR program (CMCRC) and is currently supervising industrial HDR students at Digital Finance CRC (DFCRC).
